As others have said, it really depends on the configuration. I heard a turbo that sounded pretty bad ass, but generally, in terms of sound only....I got to go with a SC setup and LT headers running through ARK or a similar sounding exhaust.

From the guys with the V6 supercharger I never heard a whine but i prefer the turbo spool and the ladies panties get soaked to

Personally, I love both! I was a true believer in turbos when my buddy did his custom kit on his tc but after hearing a centri supercharger, I love both! Although if I was doing a turbo kit, I'd definitely try to get a local or at least close by shop do it. Turbos are a little more involved than a just dropping them in like a supercharger.
