It is not stock so the dealer would not help me. I have the ******** 5.1 total system which has an aftermarket amp but still uses stock head unit.

Where are you grounded to? Is it where the battery is grounded? Maybe grounding it to a different place might help. I have a 5 channel amp and installed a seperate groung just for the amp. Drilled hole in the spare tire area, sanded to metal, installed new lug and siliconed the outside of hole to prevent a possible leak. A tech at Cartoys told me to take the ground wire and with the stereo turned on to touch it to areas of bare metal until you get a good ground with no noise and install it there. Be careful. Did not have to do this but it might be worth a try.

I hear you, man. Definitely not normal. Trying to get my local dealers to acknowledge a problem is damn near impossible.

Yes I called Steve and he did not have much of an answer. Said he knows of others that had this problem but he is not sure how they fixed it. I have no engine mods besides CAI, high flow converter with MBRP exhaust. I have it grounded to the negative on the battery.

Had the same problem, my amp was frounded to the battery negative. I moved it to a separate spot. Sanded to bare metal and the sound is gone. I also run the Alpine PXE H660. Had the noise even after installing that but it went away when I re-grounded the amp. You definately have a ground problem.
