Transmission clunk.

Twice now I parked on a inclined driveway and both times when I put it into reverse I got a big clunk. Has anyone else had this happen???

I get a clunk like this, regardless if I'm inclined or not. I have a manual V6. Don't know if this is normal or not

when you park your car on an incline put the emergency brake on before you put the car in park. that should work if you have an automatic manual i don't know if it would work.

Use the e-brake, your binding your parking paw (part in trans) which will cause failure resulting in no park.

YES! I'm getting a clunk EVERY time I go from forward to reverse in a '12 V6 Vert. Seems like driveline spline play, center bearing, suspension or maybe ring and pinion but I doubt that. More of a knock that you can feel in the entire car. Going to take it in I guess. I've spent an adult lifetime in driveline repair and just seems weird for a brand new drivetrain but...having said that, tolerances between splines and slip yokes have degraded severely over the last 20 years.

When splines were steel on steel, (60's-70's) they were tight. Anti-wear material like Dana's "Glidecote" greatly increased spline tolerances.

There was a SB on the 2010's to install a spacer on the RR shaft.
