Update on SC situation with Race Proven Motorsports... - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I am happy, extremely happy, to say my car was found!

No issues with the car, inside wasn't even touched from what I can tell. Car wasn't even started from what I've been told by the police.

Apparently they towed my car about 2 hours away to an industrial setting and it sat there waiting for someone else(s) to have gotten the car - whether it to be tow and strip or whatever. As to how the police got tipped off and found the car there, they didn't say...they just said the investigation was ongoing and they had some leads.

I've talked to Race Proven and my original thread was never meant to bash a vendor on here. All talks with them have always been great, even with the situation I was in. They were being as helpful as they could be. I did use their 0% financing offer to pay for part of the SLP TVS 2300 and I understand that the ball wasn't really in their court with processing the refunds for that. The situation just sucked for all parties involved and they did their best to do what they could.

Even before my car was found, they offered me some solutions to help with the situation. My original threads on the forum were a way of venting the overall situation on having your beloved car stolen.

Now that I have my car back and everything looks good...all is still going forward with Race Proven! They are just as happy I am that my car was found and were very genuine about it. Now, they have been very helpful still - when they get the car...I was told they will look the car over with a fine tooth comb, perform compression test, etc... just to be sure all is ok with the car since it was stolen - even though everything looks great with the car.

I'm extremely excited to not only have my car back but to be heading up to Race Proven on Monday and have an SLP TVS 2300 slapped on there.

Thank you again to everyone at Race Proven...they have definitely taken care of me in this situation.

Good to hear congrads and I would like to add I just got my car back from RPM and couldnt be happier. They have worked on mine in the past as well and some other of my friends with no problems.
