Gm will be offering a dealer installed Supercharger soon. I think it will give an additional 120 hp. Cost will probably be between 6 to 8k and it does not void the warranty.

I already bought the aftermarket ss logo's and there sharp.

Did anyone notice the HORRID nose job they did on the mail slot? Talk about an obvious cover...

Please, no.

Great work on the performance enhancements though. The numbers look great.

Wow, that thing is QUICK! That's a lot of cash though. :( Those 6 piston brakes didn't improve the stopping distance much, but then again it's so good stock that it's hard to beat.

I like that rear spoiler too.

Filler looks better then the slot to me.
But it would be better if it was filled the correct way.

So SLP when is top gear getting the car? lol

thats dead sexy. most people could probably do better with their money though by buying those parts individually. and the stock brakes are damn good as it is.

That's whats great about this car. They get to make a limited edition car to showcase all the cool custom parts they make. Then they get to sell the individual parts to ppl who may only want just the look of the SLP car or just the performance of the car.

SLP always a win in my book.

I'll save you the trouble for the next one ... its not fair to compare a modified/tuner car to a factory production one.
the GT500 is not closer to the SS than this. the GT500 puts out around 540 horses and 510 ft-lbs of torque and the SLP, 575 hp with 550 ft-lbs

Engine specs are not the same as performance. Maybe some buy a 500+ hp car to simply have a 500+hp car, but most expect it to actually accelerate quickly. They got 0-60 time of 3.8s, this is a crew that got a 5.0 out of an SS. Given that level of driving, I'd say they would have gotten a 4.5 out of a GT500.

Then there is 1/4 mile. 11.8 in this car, 13.3 in the SS. Again, these guys clearly aren't the best drivers around so add a couple tenths to the 12.3s Ford quotes for the GT500 and you're looking at 12.5, maybe 12.6s. So it splits the difference in the 1/4 mile, maybe a tenth closer to the ZL575. Yeah yeah, speculation. But if they have a hard time launching the Camaro SS, they'll have an awful time with the GT500. But I still gave them a handicap equivalent to the SS, even though its just as likely to be worse.

What size tires are they using??

And you think that if this group got 0-60 in 5.0 on SS....they could actually get 3.8 in this car, on street tires... Think about it lol. Gonna have to say it's some bs unless that is with drag radials.

Edit: They say it outruns a new 911 turbo in 0-60. Come on, seriously. Live in reality.

Bye by half shafts....

I wonder how much it will cost to beef up those units? They should be on the aftermarket soon. It would be cheaper just to not run super sticky rear tires and let them be the weak link in the drivetrain. What difference does 1/2 second make on the street anyhow?
