persuade me... a little.. please?

Okay, so im not sure if this is the right place to post this in, but more people are in here and i would like more replies.. so feel free to move if if it's not.

I cant decide if i want a pretty well loaded V6, or a Not loaded at all V8.

My limit is about 30K, so yeah.

I drive a Grand prix right now, and it has every option offered, and i like bells and whistles..

But i also feel like if you own a muscle car especially a camaro, it should be a V8.

But It's not like i will be racing around or anything... but, the top half of my car will be pink, and if some ricer pulls up next to me at a red light, thinking because im a girl that he can waste me. i pretty much want to blow him away.

I really just want to be badass, and everyone to know it... haha

okay, so what do you think?

V8 screams Badass.

but... for 30k you might want to go V6, especially with that custom paint job.

you could drop a supercharger in a V6 and watch the ricers burn like hiroshima.

Wait until you are able to buy... give each one a drive and then decide. The V6 might be enough for you, or you might decide that you really can't live without the V8. Right now the pricing info has not yet been released, so you don't really know what model you will be able to afford... yet.

I'm sure lots of people will change their minds when they actually get to the lot to purchase the car. I know I want the V8 no matter what. My decision will be between the base model and the 500 fighter. It depends on the actual cost, which we don't know yet. Give it time and make the choice that feels best when you actually drive the cars.

Well, i drive a v6 now and its supercharged, and i like it, but i feel like if im driving a camaro it needs to be like rediculous.

guess i will just have to drive them both.

and the paint job isnt gonna cost me anything.

ok well, id go with a the V8 then... but like he said, your going to have to wait and see (like the rest of us) what the prices really end up being.

but i dont think there is much replacement for the adrenaline rush from flooring it and hearing the V8 roar.

I get the GM discount too, if they allow it on the camaro, they should, i think the only car that it doesnt apply to is the Corvette.

If you're keeping the GP, since it has all the bells and whistles, get the V8 with the minimum options, that way you kinda' have the best of both worlds

To take it a little further, if you want someone to think you're a badass, driving a pink car doesn't help. That just relegates you to femininity, which is arguably NOT badass....at least not in the sense we're talking about. I've seen a few ladies driving true, respectable monsters.....I thought it was pretty rad. But these were SICK cars. A black Chevelle. A red Nova with black racing stripes. V8s.

Scrap that girly paint job....it's corny. Buy a bare bones V8. A girl driving a black V8? Instant credit towards your "badass" degree.

Your naive if you think that cars don't give someone a certain look, let me ask you... let's say all your friends have nice new cars and one drives a geo metro, do you think people will think that he is more badass than the people driving the nice cars, i think not.

I want a custom paint job, because i can have one. Pink is my favorite color, i like attention, and i like people to know that its a girls car.

I've seen a few tough s.o.b.s. wear pink, hoping someone would respond like 'terror' and they could kick some @$$. Just because they could. no offense terror...
If you like pink cars, get a pink car. If you want to be able to outrun almost every car on the road; get a V8 Camaro. If you want everyone to 'think' you are badass get a V6 Black Camaro. You will be able to take a lot of cars...if they put the 3.6 DI V6 in the Camaro.

Oh and if you think that the paint job is corny just because it's pink. then every other color should be considered corny as well. It's just a color.

Camaro5 site has been thru and around the prices debate several times...
A few of us are 'wishful' 'cheapskates' and some are more ...'generous'
In general; hope for price to be NEAR the mustang +/-$$$ If your glass is half-full (optimistic) 500$ more than a GT for the 'base' V8... GM may be planning on emptying my glass (wallet)......
