I think it would have been a similar outcome regardless. This was a marathon day, 12 sessions, 4 tanks of fuel and worn out brake pads. Post race inspection revealed no flaws with the car, ran great all day..
Joe is a good guy, talked to him just the other day about Preston's R too.

Funny that you say that. There was a period where the session ended and I went back to my pit area, got out and removed my helmet while the car was idling to cool the oil. I then realized I was low on fuel. I hopped back in and went to the pumps, came back and they called the next session. The car was only off while refueling.

That is a great track day. Seat time makes you better.

[QUOTE=D2M;9250632]With the Pirellis I would have been faster. I have run faster lap times then he was on Trofeos. However I dont think it would have been a fair fight. Cup 2 is a 180 treadware RE-11 are 200, yes the Cup 2 is a better tire but nowhere near a TrofeoR as far as grip goes.

True, but as I understand it, Ford worked Michelin to develop that tire specifically for the GT350R. So, with Trofeos you'd have both been running with tires developed for each car.

Good point. In that case I think I could have been faster. I have run a 1:13.0x before on the Trofeos. Im sure i could have gotten in to the 12s in the heat of battle.
