Yes, keep it at the track people. I mean if you have a death wish I could always use the target practice on my sniper range. Regardless of what you do your ass will be grass and if you run you will just die tired.

Just kidding here. But in all seriousness keep it safe and in a controlled environment. Not on public roads. If you want to have a little fun on the streets do it from the hours of 0500-0800 on Sunday morning. Every one is in bead from the night before suffering hangovers and church goers don't start making there morning commute till about 0830. By the way this does not mean hall balls to the wall either.

I'm calling BS on 155, especially after hearing about the aerodynamics (or lack thereof) of the 5th gen. Bad aero and 300hp wont equal 155, I can see 135-140 maybe. I've been 155 in an almost bone-stock '99 Z28 M6 about 8 years ago, it probably would have made 160 if there was a bit more room (those pesky stop lights come up on you pretty quick at those speeds lol ). Doesnt really matter though, it'll be fun to drive whatever the top speed is.

There's no way you can snipe me from Iraq. You might be able to do it from Dodge City, but that's only because Kansas is flat and there's almost no buildings here. Then again, I'm not the one with a death wish.

my 98 540i BMW is rated @ 282HP and is electronically limited to 155mph too, i myself havn't taken it up to that speed, but i know many others on my bimmer boards who have, w/o the limiter it would most likely only go another 5mph+ tho.

its not a very aerodynamic car either i would not be @ all surprised if people could get their speedos to peg out

You sir, obviously, have never been visited by a Jehova's Witness.

They show up around 5:30am around here, before the sun rises sometimes...

Abso-freaking-lutely!!

There are about 3 tracks I know of or have been to. I live in central Illinois, there is Joliet, Blackhawk, and Putnam park in Indiana. I have been to Joliet and Putnam Park. Both are very good tracks. What would be the interest of doing a track day if one was organized? I am guessing the cost would be approximately $200 per car.
