Mine is so high there is no warning, if that's what you are asking.

Cold idle @ 40-50psi, hot idle @ 23-25psi, and cruising @ 38-40psi (@ 2000 rpm).

My car cold idle isn't even at 30 psi. Warm idle is around 10-12 psi. Something's gone wrong with it. It's always been like that but I just thought it was normal since I bought it with 12k miles like that. It's at the dealership now. So I'm probably gonna get rid of it. Had to have a rear end put in it three weeks after I got it. Now and engine at 25k miles? Na not gonna be my problem.

While your observed ranges are lower than mine, psi will vary from car to car. I think most on here will tell you your pressures are on the low side, but they are still within GM engineers allowable ranges. Has the dealer replaced the oil pressure sending unit or the pump itself. Why not replace the pump with a hp/hv pump before you ditch a car you obviously like otherwise?

Take it to the dealer. That's lower than it should be. My oil pump failed at 48k and I had to get a replacement engine.

Are you sure you are running the correct weight oil in the car? Oil weight = viscosity and lower viscosity means lower oil pressure.

As a follow up. It was having problems cranking also. I took it in and they found the rear main oil seal blown out. Extremely bad leak =oil pressure problem. Then it was running down the side of the block and getting into my starter causing it to over heat and sieze up= the cranking problem. Covered under warranty. Getting it back tomorrow

SO you know a good cold idle stock pump would be higher of course than hot which should not dip below 25 psi and doing so with the car running low pressure may have hurt things some if ran too long, that generally is the lowest I accepted for oil pressure for decades on BBC/SBC engines with 30 more norm, now with higher volume I run 40lb hot and that's around 200 degrees. And the upper valve train of the LS engine needs the oil with 5w30 being what the oiling system is designed for. Having a rear main and rear bearing problem I would wonder if your not in a car that was hammered on. Good Luck.

What is important is 'does the oil circulate?'

High numbers of pressure mean high restrictions. It is not something to be proud of.

When your plants are dying because of the summer heat you don't want to blast them with high pressure cold water, do you?
Of course not. You would like low pressure, cool water, high volume.
