CAR REPAINTED ESITMATE

Considering my car is keyed basically 100% of the car, what would be a fair estimate to have a 2010 Camaro repainted to same color?

I had 2 separate estimates for $6500-$7500 and now USAA is saying they only going to authorized $4400.......... And the both body shops, said no way......

And that $4400 is to include the replacement of the windows..

Well, I found the cheapest for my 88 buick to be $3000, and that was a shi**y paint job.

You should, or I would, argue with USAA, and tell them that you have been a good paying customer and they should cover the car to get back to normal.

Do they have preferred shops where it would be completely covered? I would understand wanting to go to a certain shop with a show car like yours....

Unbelievable! I can't believe someone would do that to your car... where are you located? Perhaps I can call in a favor if I happen to know anyone near you who paints.

Bottom line is I been with USAA for almost 25 years and only had one claim , prior to this one and now I feel they are playing games....

I insure 7 personal vehicles with them and they are trying to low ball me..... I just found out tonight when I asked for a status on my claim.

I got two separate estimates for the body work, replacing the glass, etc before I started and was giving the green light from the insurance adjuster who inspected the car.

That's nuts. My insurance paid to have my CTS fully repainted back in 06' for 4k. USAA is way off to have the entire car painted plus windows replaced.

I will never understand what the mentality of a person is to do such damage to a beautiful car like that.

My car got keyed 100% last year..had a full repaint done..adjuster estimated 4k. I took it to a different bodyshop and they estimated north of 6k. Had them talk with my insurance and they worked things out and got my car repainted there.

I cant believe someone keyed your car especially when it is a tribute to falled military. SH*T like this really pi$$es me off. The only respect members of the military get seems to be from either past or present military, anyone else in this country just forgets or doesnt give a crap about what people in the military go thru so that they can go about their lives of collecting welfare and looking for handouts. What doesnt suprise me though is USAA lowballing you even though you've only ever had 1 claim with them. Just another example of a company screwing someone whose been a loyal member. Hope everything works out for you, keeps us updated and if you find the guy who did this and need any help with taking care of him let me know.

I dont know what the law is where you live, but here in MD we have the right to take our cars any body/paint shop we want and have it completely covered by the insurance company. Technically by low balling you they are restricting which shops you can use. How does USAA know what shops charge? They dont. Read your policy and see if there is a restriction there. I doubt there is. Insurance companies will try to low ball you until you press them on it and then they will cave in. If they dont and your policy doesnt have any restrictions stated in the policy, then take them to small claims court for the difference. Once they get served they will settle.

Wow just wow all the money they collect and then when it is time to pay out they wont. I think they forget they run a business that has high risk high reward. WOW boo USAA!!

Basically told USAA if they don't make this right, I will jump ship to another carrier today...

And I was informed they DO NOT pay for the exterior wrap, which is an additional $4500

That blows big time... I have State Farm, and was told and in email that I am covered and dont need any extended coverage for anything, the only thing they exclude is the motor. So if I do a stroker it is on me, anything attached is covered if I have reciepts or can prove it was on the car. Which is easy you have plenty of documentation on your car. Unfortunatly welcome to insurance companies now days, had my home robbed, and it was 12K damage ect and they wanted to write me a check for 4K. I hired a insurance adjuster, for 10% of my claim and got what I wanted. Look up a insurance adjuster

listen honey, I will gladly make a small donation to help cover whatever your insurance company doesn't... and I remember reading in one of your other threads several others would do the same....

we are proud of your car and for what it stands for..

We have USAA too. We have never had a problem with them as of yet. I would argue with them until they paid! That's just crazy!!
