Hey moderators - just wondering if you guys were thinking of installing any of the iPhone extensions such as tapatalk or touchBB? I love the forum and having mobile access would be great.

what in tarnation is tapatalk & touchBB??

if that second one's something to do with BadgeBunny, i don't think Skip would go for that one...

Tapatalk and touchBB are alot better than using safari for any forums. I just use safari when i'm on my iphone and it doesn't really bother me but, for other people its an issue

Sigs, avatars, attached pictures, etc load slow unless you have full signal strengh. A mobile version of the site that might be text only or something would make it alot easier and faster to browse. God help you if you try to load any threads in the Photos forum.

Not an app, there's a plug in - basically a vbulletin skin - that is optimized for use on phones. It's just a stripped down version of the forum. I would LOVE to see this.

Exactly - those two links I posted are the plugins for the forum... Then folks can use either app on the iphone to access the forum. I *think* tapatalk is the better of the two.

Website features and functions are controlled by Tran, one of the site's administrators. I'm sure he will comment on the likelihood of it. Moderators only deal with members and content posted on the site.

I'm a ludite. The fact that I happen to be an engineer in training is secondary. Strange combination, I know. Oh well.

My opinion of the iPhone:

Given the opportunity, I would like to do a head to head durability test. I know which would win, I just wanna smash an iPhone with a stone.

not to come off as a fan boy or anythings but the iPhone is BY FAR the best phone I've had in my entire life sure its missing some SMALL things but what other phone competes against this phone?
