3” Jack magpad

Anyone know if this works ok on the 5th Gen ZL1? A private seller locally is selling this which is for the 6th Gen but I’m assuming it would work on my 13 ZL1 coupe too.

I just bought a 3 ton garage jack and want lift pads to protect the pinch welds.

I just looked under the car and the two front pinch welds are pretty beaten up - first pics are of the passenger front and it’s really bad - the two rears aren’t too bad. How would I go about fixing this? Should I just vice grip them straight and start using proper lift pads? Not much I can do at this point as the previous owner clearly didn’t jack it up properly - I’ve never lifted the car before. Ugh.

I’ve wondered the same thing. They come pretty cheap once in awhile on Camaro6.

I have only ever used the ZL1 add ones and I used them not only on my floor jack but on my car lift as well, pitch welds are perfect. I would C clamp over two 1/4 steel plates but would clean them out first before clamping. If they are severely weakened you can always tack weld them.

Another thing you can fix them with after you clean them out is use a pair of vise grips and squeeze them back together and also bent them back into shape.
