I have no issue. I use a microfiber towel and wrap it from behind and around each spoke and shimmy it back and forth. Seems to work well for me.

Maybe we have different definitions of clean. These are wheels on a car I drive outside on a street. If there is some line with a grove behind a spoke that I cannot see or even new existed I'm fine with it collecting whatever it collects.

My wheels are always clean by my standards
