Keeping top down indefinitely?

I bought my 2011 vert to drive on sunny days. I have the boot on and top down all the time. I drive the car for short periods every other weekend. The car stays in a closed garage otherwise. Have had no issues with dust or bugs. Should I change my set up? Put the top up each time I park it? Thanks. As of now, the top has been down three weeks.

I rarely leave my top down for extended periods of time. I find that when i do, the wringling in the fabric appears pronounced.

I left the top down on my 99 Cavalier Z24
from oct til like april the following year.
The Top Fabric Shrunk and was difficult
to secure the latch. Could be different
for a new Camaro ~

My top has been down since I purchased it in June of 2011. It stays in the garage until we take it for a drive on a nice, sunny, no rain in the forecast day.
The top only goes up if we are going into a store for a long period or if it is early morning or late night and a little chilly (which isn't very often in Florida ).
Have had no issues with my top...... No wrinkles, no shrinking and no rub marks.........When I drive, the tonneau cover is ALWAYS on with a towel between the cover and top. When I open the top......I always hold the open button down until the top is fully open to avoid any bouncing or rubbing of the top and mechanisms. Don't know if my habits attribute to no issues with my top.......or if I was lucky and just got a good one

Wrinkles always slightly appear whenever I put mine down, but disappear after a while once up. I never use my tonneau cover because it's a pain in the ass unless I'm driving 1hr+.

Mark, close it and post a picture of it right afterward. Curious to see how it looks.

Same here. Top goes up when I wash it, park it someplace other than home or when I put it away for winter.

I have heard many stories about tops shredding when they are finally put up after being left down for years.

Also, I am not in any kind of rural area. But discovered that a squirrel got in my garage, and could not get it out. Never had this before in 20 years of living there. I had to go buy a trap to get rid of it. I would not have wanted to see what kind of damage it might have done to the interior if I had always left the top down.
