Heritage grill getting much closer!

I had the distributor for the Heritage grill stop by the other day for a test fit. Sounds like it's coming soon.

God I love that grille .. I hope it comes out really soon!

I did notice that they changed it slightly though. Two slots for the signal lights instead of three.

Still looks great!

Also, it looks like there isn't an indented slot for the bowtie. This is cool if you want to debadge, but if you want a bowtie on there do you need to get a new one made for the grille?

Looks kind of cheap, doesn't it? I would prefer the three slotted turn signals...

I kinda wish it was just .. 1 slot .. I don't understand why the signal needs to be split. I guess for structural strength?

My guess is that it's mainly for looks. The three slots would have been similar to the '69 RS and the two slots is kind of GM heritage, in a sense. Not so much necessarily on the turn signals on all cars, but other GM vehicles have had split lights on either side of the grille. This is the example that's foremost in my mind:

That grille is a must for the SS's it matches the lower grille pretty good unlike the current grille
