I'm also with state farm and they should cover it. I got rear ended and I had a ding on my after market borla atak exhaust and they covered it no problem.

This is what happens when you go with a reputable insurance company.

It depends on your policy, I work for Farmers Insurance and we have something called additional equipment. I have subs, a gear ratio, and exhaust on my car so I have $4,000 in Additional equipment. Which means If my car was wrecked and I showed proof of everything I bought I would get my money back.

I'm not sure how it works with state farm, but I suggest calling corprate and asking for a manager and speaking with them. When in doubt always ask for a manager.

Exactly most big insurance companys like State Farm/Farmers Insurance ect.. will cover things like this no problem. Just show you receipt and they should cover it. Not sure how expensive the headlights were but you could always pay a lawyer a few hundred bucks to send your company a letter. That will scare the shit out of them and they will cover it.

They have to replace what is damaged. Most insurance companies will replace minor owner installed aftermarket parts with the same aftermarket parts if you can prove you purchased them with receipts. However, if they are high dollar parts, you may have to negotiate an agreed value policy which can cost more.
