Anyone ever power brake a V6 automatic?

Just wondering. I have a manual, and was having one of those crazy ideas that I will reveal if encouraged.

Here's the deal. I was thinking about doing a slow rolling burnout in second gear. I have a manual, and when I roll in second gear, lightly apply the brakes, and gas it... Nothing cool happens. I was thinking about disconnecting the wheel speed sensor to disable the abs. Allowing me to overpower the rear brakes, and do a sweet burnout. Not interested in ruining the clutch, or installing line lock. Just a quick override. But since it is possible with the automatic, it seems like it should be possible with the manual. My 96' 3.8 m5 could do it in first, but didn't have enough power for second. I did it in a 2001 Mach 1 Stang second gear no problem. It's kinda abusive, I know...

Install a line lock and try to set your brakes about half way before you activate the line lock. That way your front brakes aren't on full, but there is enough of a drag to keep you from speeding out of it. With the V6 the line lock helps out a ton so you don't have to power through the rear brakes as well. I haven't driven a manual V6, so I don't know how it would react to trying to start a burnout in 2nd.

Anyone ever power brake a V6 automatic?

Good luck with the second gear burnout, you will hurt the clutch more by doing this. This motor has no low end torque so even if you pull the abs nothing is gonna happen, You are gonna need some rpms to do it. Let it creep in first gear (5mph) and once the clutch is out Mash the gas. There is no problem spinning them.

It's annoying to see all the "I can't spin them" threads. I hate you all and envy your problem

I can spin them no problem, spins in a power shift to second. But doing a burnout in first is like doing a wheelie in first. It's fun for a couple seconds then you run out of rpm. Line lock is the way to go, sounds much safer. Thanks everybody! I agree, all those "it won't break em loose " leave me wondering.
