Another Trunk Rattleing thread...

Hey all, I have resorted to pretty much turning my subs right down due to the horrible sound of the trunk lid whenever I turn the volume down. I have fixed all other rattle sounds without dynamat since up in Canada everywhere online or otherwise wants a stupid price for it. My last and only annoyance now is the trunk lid. I have tried the weather stripe along the rear window end of the trunk but my rattle wasn't coming from there. I narrowed it down to the trunk latch area. I believe but am not sure but the rattle is inside the latch, anyone have any ideas... other than dynamat to stop this rattle?

You can try to make sure the trunk is hitting the stoppers. That should put a little tension on the latch.

are the stoppers adjustable, do you know? or should I just modify them after I know for sure that it would work

I think they are. I know the other essential under the hood are for sure. It wouldn't hurt to check. Or if not try to add a piece on top of them to see if it helps.

They are adjustable, and after adjusting it has greatly helped my issue. Now I'm seeing the weather strip issue near the rear window that others talked about, going to add stripping and should be good now

How about the side plastic panels in the back next to the rear seat? I just had that all apart to change the rear speakers and found why mine rattled, from the factory they were both missing a few clips.........
