So here is pretty much what the relo kit will do. Now changing the sensor will be a 5 minute job and not a 5 hour job.

Just have to put the blower back on and secure the bracket.

Got the gaskets today. Dealer said they are actually for a 6.0 liter Avalanche. hahaha

Very nice... here's hoping you find & fix the idle stutter during the process... accidentally, intentionally... makes no difference as long as it's gone

I don't suppose there is a chance it's in the oil filter somehow?

what'd you do... fill it with sand & install it backwards?

if it's really a problem with the pump, wouldn't it at least be under warranty? unless it's something like not having a the o-ring properly installed on the pickup - but then it'd fall back on the shop that installed it wrong

It's been 2 years and probably 40k miles. So I doubt it. Maybe on the pump but I sure as hell won't be going back with the same pump.

Been 4k miles since the oil filter was put on. I was just hoping maybe something could have broke loose in the filter.

Oil pressure dropped. Had a sensor code so thought it was a bad sensor. I was wrong.

I'll start taking the front apart this evening or tomorrow. Probably next weekend though. Gotta pull the front cover. Crank pulley and all. Ugh..............
