Sorry what did you mean? I was just letting you know what I thought. But I am more of an audiophile than many but I just can't think of many apps I would want on my radio that aren't on my phone.

I called idatalink about a month a go. They said they were working on the Silverado then the Camaro. They said don't expect to see anything before Q1'2015. Their biggest problem for the Camaro was the need for a dashkit.

Just spoke with someone at idatalink again and understand they have no plans to build a solution for the Camaro. Looks like they completed the Silverado product and are moving on to the F150.

I don't know what these guys are thinking, given all the 5th gen Camaros (500,000) in market that would salivate for a better solution than Metra or Scosche. I wish daily for a better dash kit or at least the ability to use the idatatlink capability in my Kenwood Android HU.

So close, yet so far away from perfect.

Maybe if we hit them up via Social Media/Twitter like this:

@iDatalink you are missing a huge opportunity w/the #Camaro market (500,000) 5th gens sold. We need support for Maestro and a dash kit!

If you go to there site the is a forum section and they say that they are working group on one. I used the maestro rr on my magnum and it's fantastic. The camaro is the only vehicle with that electrical layout and it requires more time to develop a dash. I'm sure they'll do it. Already did the mustang.

If this is the forum you are speaking of, I see nothing encouraging in their responses.

If they were actually working on something they would have a date. I think it's a safe assumption they are not.

While certainly the Camaro may be harder to work with I believe they would actually cover more than just the Camaro with the kit. I believe the Scosche works on multiple GM cars.
