Out of State Buying

Anyone have any experience with buying a Camaro out of their State? I'm looking for a 2ss RS IBM with gray interior and seems only Camaro available is out of state. Any advice or experience. Thanks in advance.

CamaroScotty has done a lot of sales with customers from outside of his state. He could probably help. If you need any other help, send a PM.

Get in contact with a dealer from these forums, they have helped many of this community's members get their Camaro. PM Becky, I'm sure she will be more then glad to help

I am buying mine in DE. It's pretty simple, the dealer should have the resouces to register your car in any state. I don't know what else I could add.

I ordered mine out of state (PA to NJ) and the dealer was very helpful.
It was a easy purchase.

Better check with the DMV. Cali has a rule about new cars from out of state. The last time I looked into it, it was something like this:

The car HAD to have more than 7500 miles on it before it could be registered in Cali plus there was a one-time fee for emissions at time of registration (3-500.00 IIRC). Plus they were working on a sales tax of some sort.

Better call em to be safe....

Yeah, DMV can be a PIA. You MAY be able to do the registration through AAA.
Make sure the car is CARB (50 State) legal.
I got lucky and found my Red 2SS in NorCal and had it shipped to SoCal.
Did you use the dialog help box that comes up on the GM Camaro website
and talk to a rep? They helped me find mine in CA.

Agreed. There are a lot of respectable dealers here. Scotty, Becky, Anna, Eric, Bobby... (sorry if I left you out). Buying out of state isn't really all that uncommon. Through my recommendation here, my dealer in Buffalo sold 11 to out of state buyers. If/when you pick one, simply start a thread here asking for people's buying experience(s) with that particular dealer. More than likely you will find overwhelming support for the dealers on this forum.
