GM Custom CAMARO Car Cover

So after the dog jumped on the car the first week, I ran to WALLYWORLD and bought a "generic" car cover for the baby, but then soon broke down and bought the custom GM cover off EBAY for about $200 see link:

http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=cam...over&_osacat=0

anyway the cover looks real good, but it is a SNUG fit, and it's not soft on the inside, It's like a vinyl material inside and out.. I worry everytime I take it on and off (Every Week) that I'm gonna damge the clear coat on the edges of the car and cause the dust to rub the paint. What do you guys think, should I invest in a more high dollar (soft inside) cover that fits a little looser.. The car spends everyday in the garage so wind isn't an issue..

My issue with the GM Camaro cover is that it advertises exactly what the car is....

For cars stored outside that's a major issue for me because at least where my car will be stored there are a lot of "haters" so i would just assume have a cheap one from walmart, but as i read this i'm starting to think maybe an expensive one would be better as long as it doesn't say camaro on it...

The camaro ones look really sharp but for outside storage i wouldn't want to have one it would make me nervous advertising it like that.

I originally ordered the GM cover but after seeing one in person I called the dealer and told him to keep it. I ordered one from Calcarcover.com They make real nice covers for less than the GM optional parachute.

I found some decent ones from empire. This cover was a replacement cover for a custom cover that cost three times as much and started leaking water and collecting dust under the cover in less than a year. My Empire cover is 4 months old, has survived numerous strong thunderstorms and seering Texas sun, and so far is exceeding my expectations. I have 3 cars under cover, soon the other two will be covered by Empire.

These looked interesting. I like the Sunbrella product. Had a Sunbrella top on my boat and it was perferct after 20 years when I sold it. Pricey though.

Basically like a windbreaker material with seams on inside that will soon scratch your clearcoat, many much softer covers on market. Try to look at one in person before you order.

many covers come in layers, they need to also be breathable. my under cover is almost silky. not cotton which the sun would destroy.
