Cowl Induction
Ever since I first saw the Camaro I thought that it needed cowl induction. The current hood setup is perfect for it (ok, lose the mail slot). Seems it would go with the tradition better. After all, the car is styled after a 69. I think it would be cool to have that. Just wondering what anyone else thought.

Somebody made a cowl induction hood for the G8 GT already.
I will have one on the Camaro.

SLP is making their own functional hood similar to the 4th Gens.

When I get my 'vert, I want to supercharge it and install a cowl hood, and paint the stripes on.

Could they make a true cowl induction hood that resembles the stock hood insomuch as it looks like the '60s cowl induction hoods? Would one like that be properly functional?

except the SLP 4th gen hood is a ram air setup and not a cowl induction

I don't see why not ... the inlet for the intake would have to be towards the rear vs the front, the air box would have to be relocated (and probably the shape too) ... and change the hood ... seems like it should be possible

I would LOVE to see this done. That way you wouldn't even have to worry about the mail slot looking weird.

I have 6 inch cowl hoods on my 2 other Camaros, I wonder if they will come out with the big cowl's for the 2010's, I like my 2010 Cowl and I think the mail slot looks awesome.
