Hotchkis Max Brace and Exhaust issues.

So I installed my Hotchkis max brace and I been hearing this knocking sound, from underneath which I think is the exhaust pipes hitting the middle mpart of the hotchkis. Anyone else had this issue?

This is a known issue when installing a aftermarket exhaust with the stock piece but haven't heard of it with a aftermarket chassis brace. It doesn't happen to everyone but it does for some. From the pics of the Hotchkis brace, it looks like you could put a couple washers between the tunnel brace and the side pieces to give you some extra room.

that's why I modified my own. LOL...I didn't want to pay someone for their brace and then have to make it work anyway.
Cheap easy fix...go to Lowe's and get some 1" wide flat steel and drill holes to match the bolt pattern. Put some Rustoleum paint on it...few coats...let it dry and bolt it back up. That long flat surface underneath the brace will keep everything functioning as it should. Take one of the bolts in with you...Lowe's has those in stock in stainless in longer lengths.

Iguess I'll put it up in a ramp and see what I can do about it.

We have tested our brace with the stock exhaust as well as three major aftermarket brands, however it would be very difficult to test all the exhaust systems on the market. Please take some pics and PM them to us and we'll see what we can do to help.
