What are typical 1/8 e.t.'s the LS3 is seeing?

I only have an 1/8 mile dragstrip near me and I may take it out there sometime. I prefer the 1/4 mile like many people do, but I'd like to see what it can do in the 1/8--get a little practice before the Camarofest! wanted to see what typical stock 1/8 mile E.T.'s I should expect so I know how my car stands vs. what most people are seeing.

I only have a 3" cat back, so shouldn't be much of an improvement over stock, although I will add a CAI before I go, so may fair a little better than stock with both bolt-ons.

8.19-8.42 on five of my passes . If you can get the car to 60ft low 2.00s or better and run under an 8.50 theres a good chance of getting in the 12.s.

Anything in the 8.3 - 8.6 range in the 1/8 mile would be considered a solid or good run. That would equate to a high 12 - low 13 sec run in the 1/4 mile.

These are estimates of 1/4 mile times based on 1/8 mile times.

8.1 (1/8 mile) = 12.64 (1/4 mile)
8.2 (1/8 mile) = 12.79 (1/4 mile)
8.3 (1/8 mile) = 12.95 (1/4 mile)
8.4 (1/8 mile) = 13.10 (1/4 mile)
8.5 (1/8 mile) = 13.26 (1/4 mile)
8.6 (1/8 mile) = 13.42 (1/4 mile)
8.7 (1/8 mile) = 13.57 (1/4 mile)

thanks for the info guys, guess I could have done the math myself, but much easier to get it this way! I happened to look at a few time slips and saw the 1/8 mile E.T.s and yeah, looks like low 8's I should be running sub-13 second 1/4's if my 0-60 ft. time is good.

thanks alot!

Is 8.5 or lower Bone stock possible? That must be getting a near perfect launch. Are you guys having trouble with wheel hop?

yep, guys have frequently been in the low 8's just stock from what I have seen and heard on here.

what are people's techniques for best launch times here for the LS3? (i.e. rpms at launch, traction control on/off, competitive mode launch control on/off, etc.)

practice w/all aids off.launch mode is a joke imo.wheelhop like you would'nt believe.my best runs were just driving it. not a pro by any means; just my exp.plus practice makes fun.

Its all about practice, and never do the same thing twice or you wont know what works. Also dont change two things at once in between runs, likw air pressure and launch rpms as you wont know which one helped or hurt. Biggest thing dont get upset, its all fun.
