Am]nd why do we think they will close the doors ! Did Chrysler shut down? It will be business as usual , the government has already guarenteed to pay the bills during the bankruptcy ! GM Canada may not follow suit, Anyway , my ABM 2SS RS is due to be built 5/25, they have to wait until it is delivered!!

Most of the stuff on here, I take it for what its worth.......Although there are valuable sources on here that give great information, but the truth is that nobody knows what the hell GM has up their sleeve. This seems to be the "$64,000 question." Will, or to what extent, does filing Chapter 11 on June 1st affect the Camaro plant?

Even if the plant does not shut down, will there be "non-essential employee" lay-offs that will slow down production? Will AREA 51 "repairs" be affected? Will supplier issues arise that affect the plant? What about trucking and rail companies that ship the cars?

Soooooo many questions. Soooooo few answers.

Scotty, John Fitzpatrick may say "were keeping the plant open" but remember that poster that shows the zillion different independent companies providing parts for the Camaro. What If a few of those parts suppliers say "were not going to provide any more parts until we know how and when we'll be paid", then what? For example, if the wheel manufacturer decides their not going to supply any more wheels for the Camaro until GM emerges from bankruptcy, then how do they keep production running?? Wheels are just an example, but it really would only take one or two of the major suppliers to stop providing parts to stop Camaro production. That's pretty much out of GM's control, right? No parts = no cars.
