Going to Thunder Valley tonight, see how she does. Previous best was 13.341 @ 106. Best trap was 13.4 @ 108.

Getting ready to leave but it might not go as well as I hoped. On the way home from work I was only getting 10 PSI, don't know if it is because of the heat and low humidity or if a worm gear clamp worked itself loose. I tightened up all the clamps, so I will find out soon.

Way too much meth, 3rd gear was misfiring till the 5000 RPM's when the AFR leans out. Also my IAT was 118 at the line, my 2nd gear it was 78 degrees but the damage had been done with the knock retard. Going to a smaller nozzle, have to wait 30 mins.

Keep lowering the meth and gaining trap speed.
13.586 @ 108.27 13.670 @ 107.91 Still running too rich in 3rd, swapped some nozzles around and will try again. |

Your trap speeds are excellent...basically as fast as some of the best stock SS Camaros on the fast list, but your times aren't adding up.
What are your 60's looking like? Too bad your having the issues in 3rd gear...that's a bummer! Always something! Best of luck.

Only getting 9 psi of boost now, something worked itself loose in the heat. Will have to check the intake manifold. I did beat a Mustang 5.0 though head to head.

The worm clamp on the outlet of the intercooler had backed off a little, should have known something was wrong since if you let off the throttle near max boost it will cause a nice pressure spike in those pipes. I had backed off the meth as far as I could and was running below 12 AFR, at no boost leaks it should have been near 13.
Will work on fixing that boost pipe this weekend. Did managed to get up to 108.89 even leaking air. |

If you can get this setup running well I can see you trapping in the 110 range, but what we really want to see is high 12s!

Track is open today for Test and Tune, going to check my car to see if I have full boost and if I do, will be going back.
Here is my best run from Friday, I'm #546. This was my race against a 2013+ Mustang 5.0, so you can see how my car stacks up against the competition. |

I haven't read this whole thread but what meth mixture are you using? A tune for just meth would do you some good if you can get one in the future. I have a tune set aside just for meth usage with the large nozzle and 100% meth and Vince bitch-ass actually nailed it after 2 tries. Hopfully IPF could help you out or when HPT finally comes around. I see easy mid 12's from your car.

It may sound paranoid but I worked around a lot of dangerous chemicals in the Air Force, I actually suffer random blindness in my left eye from it. I don't want to take any chances and go completely blind. For the boost levels, I've been thinking of going higher but I want gears first. That will build boost faster, helping me more, then I can maybe do 15 psi. I may ask if I could pay an extra $100 and get a custom meth tune from Arno since money talks more than begging. |

Yesterday at the track didn't go to well, was extremely hot and I still have a leak. I think it is in the intake manifold or the intercooler is heatsoaked, causing a pressure loss. On my last run the pipe on my intercooler outlet blew off, had to coast to the exit by the EMT's. One of the EMT's was a hot chick not wearing her shirt but just a sports bra. She loved the color of my car and took pictures if it, I let her sit in it and start the engine back up after it flooded. Was a crap day for speed but ended with me at least seeing some skin.
I did practice my launching though, car was bogging down badly but I got consistent 2.1 60'. The sport comp 2's hook pretty good. Going to work on the intake manifold and might put my spacers back on, gotten my best track times with them. |
