changed to redline.
I changed the Trans oil to Redline. Noticeable difference in shifting, a lot smoother shifts and quieter. This is the first change since new..has 6300 miles on it and you could definitely tell that it needed changed. I do wish the plug would have been magnetic like the rear end! Also changed the gear oil to redline 75/110 with a noticeable difference there as well...quiet! The magnetic plugs in it were covered with shavings from the new gears. I think I'll change both again in a few thousand miles....because I can!!!

I'm a big Redline believer, more so for trannies than engine oil.
I did a D4 switch within 300 miles after getting the car. Then, after some research, I circled back and did a 50/50 mix of Redline D4 and Redline MTL. See here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=374798 |

I did a lot of research on this using OE specs and GM's electronic parts catalog and everything calls for D4. GM doesn't give you the spec, but only a part number for the V8 transmissions (88861800) (75w-90 for v6 transmission). AmsOil has a great tool for looking up fluid specs that is very accurate. I know where they get their data and it's a tear 1 resource. (I don't like AmsOil, but I like their data).
When I do my transmission oil change, I am going to try D4 Red Line, I'll post the results.

I like to stick to Red Line, or liqui moly. But that's just my preference.

Havent used RL but recently did first tranny and pumpkin change using Amsoil. Really like how it has smoothed out the shifting. Was pretty notchy feeling with the oem fluids.
