new camaro owner choosing exhaust

I just got my 2010 ABM camaro last week and want to put a good sounding fairly loud exhaust on it. I am about ready to order the borla atak catback and just want to know if everyone is happy that already has it. any feedback would be appreciated!

I've had mine on for almost two months now and I love it! It has a nice, deep rumble on start up and it definitely screams when you step on it! There is some drone around 60 to 75mph, but it doesn't phase me one bit. I would also look into getting an after-market air intake to replace the factory OEM. I have the CAI, inc. intake and you can tell the difference once you install it. I ordered my Borla ATAK from ************.com. He has reasonable prices for his products. Good luck and post a video of your exhaust setup when you get it done!

I am torn between the ATAK and one of the Flowmaster systems myself. Whichever one I get needs to be 3", and as far as I know, that scratches the ATAK from contention. :( There might be another Borla muffler available in 3" though...

Just go straight pipe if you want it loud. I have cherry bomb myself and a friend that has flowmasters and they sound very similar but I only paid 400 installed which sold me. Its just about what you like and what you want to spend. That being said if money wasnt a factor I would have gotten the atak.

Myself and every other XS-Power owner will preach our systems for price, quality, performance, sound...I love it and wouldnt think twice about getting it again. I thought about the ATAK myself but coupled with long tubes I thought it would be too loud so I snagged my full system with headers for under $700...

I thought the Borla was a little too "high pitched" when you get on it... I've always LOVED Flowmaster sound, but heard a lot of negativity regarding performance... I almost went that route regardless. Instead I went for the Magnaflow competition cat-back, I am extremely happy with it! Deep, refined sound all the way around, maybe not as audibly loud as the Atak, but I think that's just because the Ataks note is higher pitched, so it sounds louder. I've got a before/after vid on my build thread, linked in my sig, should be a page or 2 back from the last post. Also, mine is a 2 1/2" due to the vert bracing, but they make a 3". And its opened up a LOT since I put some miles on it after the Vids. Videos give you a good representation of the tone, its just gotten much louder and a little deeper.

We have multiple systems with different mufflers and sound ranges.

We have the Flowmaster American Thunder with 40 Series mufflers - Aggressive sound:

Force II kit with resonators - Mild sound

Flowmaster Pro-Series -Moderate sound:

Flowmaster Outlaw - Aggressive sound:

Good2go - The Outlaw kit is an Axle-Back kit and has the 2.5" adapter to fit the stock piping and flares to 3" for the rest of the run. Unfortunately we don't currently have a video of the Outlaw sound on a 5th gen Camaro and we couldn't find a customer-made video on YouTube either, so we should make one. If you find one, let us know.
