I think it's good to remember this;

1. Whatever generation Camaro, at leasst they're driving Camaro's, and not something "foreign".

2. EVERY group, ie; Camaro faithful; Mustang faithful, have individuals who feel their Camaro/generation is "tops", and maybe look down their nose at everyone else. I truly belive being around groups like this forum and elsewhere that those individuals are rare, and not representative of most Camaro fans, etc..

3. When you come across an individual who thinks any Camaro/generation is inferior to them, smile, and move on. To each their own...it's far more important that YOU enjoy what YOU drive, and realize those individuals are not "the norm", and the Camaro family is truly a very good group of people.

OK...done with my soapbox.

Gawd, I wish they'd still make T-Tops. Sweet ride, man.

I like ever gen but preferably the 3rd(owned one) and 4th. I always wanted a 4th gen but thats when GM pulled the plug. So i had to get me a 5th gen.

That looks almost identical to the 2002 SS I had back in the day. I miss that car. It was nasty. Connections I made while I owned that car ultimately led to the creation of Apex Motorsports.

No but I have noticed that a lot of 5th gen owners are total d-bags.

Well the 4th gen camaros have reached about their lowest point for value. With that being said it has made the cars more affordable to people who might not have had the cash a fews ago... It still doesnt take away what the cars were in their day. (Nice just like our 5th gens) Give it about 10 to 15 years and the "Rednecks" as you say will have done the same things to the 5ths.

Just had an experience with a guy where he was filling up his LS at the gas station and he was acting like he had the best car there.

I think the OP is just seeing what I'm seeing. I'm sure most of the 4th gen owners aren't the people he described but I too see an alarming amount of junked up 4th gens driving around. I had a off-white 95-97, something, with a primed driver door, cheap exhaust pipes sticking out the side before the back tire, and running like a dirt bike rev it up next to me yesterday and it just looked like trash. My first car in highschool was a 90' RS Camaro and later a 97 Firebird so I respect these cars. It just happens to be a lot of people in my area don't take care of these cars and they look like crap or they made them look like, well to use a better term, maybe, not American sport/muscle. I do occasionally meet an older guy who has one stored in his garage with 10,000miles but with the way that most people are treating the 4th gen they'll soon be a hard car to find in good condition. I 3rd gens! The one that lives here needs a lot of work but it will be gorgeous when fixed up!

I actually like all the generations of Camaro's. We're all family - rednecks included.
