Now the the anger has subsided,,,,,need to figure out how this happened.

Found this today on rear driver side rim while cleaning her up. Scratch marks and chunks of adhesive, want to know if it may be covered under warranty, because I am thinking weights got loose somehow. Any knowledge of the subject would be helpful.

I've never seen that before. Did someone try messing with your car?

Did you have your wheels remounted recently? Looks like some wheel weights were removed.

Someone used a metal scraper to scrape off old wheel weights.

No, swapped out my brakes two weeks ago full inspection no issues. Took it to a detailer last week.

Why would someone scrape off weights, that is exactly what it looks like.

I have no idea. There's no reason to unless you were having vibration issues.

Are you telling me the factory scraped them off before they shipped it to me, this happened to you?

I find it hard to believe the tech would hack at the rim to get the wieghts off when they were doing the initial balance, no one has touched the rims except me. But sounds like I need to get some touch up paint.

no, ive been through a set of tires already on mine. they have to come off when you get tires to rebalance.

check your other wheels. the factory weight is a big square stick on weight and the dealer or tire store usually has smaller squares.
