10 year old kids love my car

I live in a prettty affluent part of L.A. (bought there 32 years ago, couldn't afford it today). The vehicle population is primarily, Mercedes, BMW, Porsches and a fair share of super cars. Also, the owners pretend that they are just transportation, no big deal, even if they cost $100 grand plus. Too cool for school. Consequently, they go out of their way to ignore my Camaro. I occasionally see someone trying to sneak a peak but other than that nothing. Except for the kids, god bless them. If I'm driving around town after school gets out, the little guys yell, "hey Camaro" and give me a thumbs up. Makes me smile every time it happens. I'm waiting for some kid riding shotgun in his dad's Lambo, to lean out the window and yell, "hey Camaro"

It's just a great feeling when you find yourself riding alongside an exotic supercar...and your Camaro still commands the center of attention!

Just goes to show because it is expensive that doesn't make it the best thing available. Something most people have yet to learn.

I think we can thank the Transformers movie for that.

A guy in my work's parking garage asked me if he could take pictures of my car for his son. The funny thing is that I bought my car off the lot and was hesitant about the stripes and “Bumblebee” look but it was the only yellow LS in the DC area at the time, but now I'm very happy I did.
