Even after seeing this picture I am not convinced. I was attracted to a MODERN looking concept car, not something that can be confused for another car on the street.

I loved the concept car and what Hollywood did with it. However, I really think these lines are too rounded, hood is too short and the overall "Oh my god, look at that!" is missing from the production model.
I gotta disagree with you. I think the production car looks almost identical to the concept. If you took the 22 inch wheels that were on the concept and put them on the production car, I don't think you'd be able to tell them apart.

GM did a great job. Compare it to the concept Mustang a couple years ago for the current 05 Stang GT. The concept looked pretty good. The production version looked a lot different, and a lot cheaper. Chevy did a great job of not letting this happen with the Camaro.

I thought the same thing. It has to be the position of the camera and the perspective angle.

The Camaro does look much meaner than the 'Vette though.

That image is almost like a younger sibling trying to out do an older one in agressiveness (which the Camaro does do).

it should be noted that Scott isn't the only one that's pictured driving the SS... seems like a "little weasel" got himself into those pics somehow

CHEVY HAS THE VOLT WHICH MANY SAY IS THE FUTURE OF THE COMPANY AND WILL SAVE THEM plus they have the most fuel efficient line up of all the Manufacturers even more than TOYOTA or HONDA , Ford is also smart by using a 4.6 l in there Stang to save fuel I think the LEGENDARY 5.0 will be back for the 2010 Stang it makes sense for the times , a small block with high HP and good fuel economy I doubt they will use the 6.2L they were talkin about it is just too big , they will also offer the ECOBOOST for the GT again to save fuel and give cosumers choice ,remember they only use a 5.4 in the Shelby GT 500 there top dog , plus Ford is rumored to be working on a similar vehicle as the VOLT they know they have to...

Wasn't this exact same response in another thread? It certainly doesn't seem to pertain to this one all that much...

my only question is: is that car sporting 19"f, 20"r wheels and tires? because they sure do look like they're staggered.

Take a look at the last page of the salesperson reference guide. Take a good close look at the picture on the bottom of that last page. What exactly do you see there that makes you say there is such a dramatic difference between the production model and the concept model that would draw such a comment. Where are these rounded lines you refer to that did not exist on the concept. Keep in mind that what you are looking at in that picture is the production right next to the concept.

And you had to say it twice? Once is more than sufficient.

Is there any question why everyone gets tired of hearing how the few that don't like the SS bumper are against it?

I'll give them one thing, the squeaky wheel gets the grease (or however that goes). It's always the vocal minority that gets their way in most everything because they make the most noise. It's the same everywhere, especially politics... LOL
