How much is it to have your stripes painted?
Hey guys,
The more i think about it the more I dont want vinyl stripes. Do any of you know how much it would be to have it painted on there? Would they charge extra do have the stripes continued on the spoiler. (I am looking to buy the Sawtooth spoiler. Black or Red stripes on a white body. thanks |

I heard anywhere from $800-2000 depending on where you go, 2000 is a little much imo

800.00 estimated for mine even over the spoiler with clear coat. Make sure you get the clear coat. It will be more duable and keep the gloss protected. Mine will be done over the winter. This is in Indy.

$500 quoted for mine, supposed to do mine in a couple of weeks. Gloss black stripes that go over the rear spoiler. Nebraska. I agree the vinyl stripes look kinda cheezy to me. I want mine gloss and under clear coat so I can wax the entire car without the stripe lines & worrying about getting wax on the flat black vinyl.

I had mine painted on by my dealer, Tom Henry Chev. in PA. I did hood and rear to just over the spoiler. charged me $1,000.

 9000 - order cancelled/new order placed with Tom Henry Chev. - 09/14/09 3000 - order accepted by production ctrl 9/24/09 (TPW 10/19/09) @ 10/16/09, dealer advised TPW changed to 10/26/09 3300 - order selected for production 10/26/09 3400 - order broadcast 10/27/09 3800 - vehicle produced. It's a blue Camaro!! Born 10/29/09   5000 - received at dealership 11/04/09 6000 - Delivered to me! 11/14/09 (I had black granite stripes painted on) It is truly awesome looking! Totally gorgeous & worth the wait!  |

I had an estimate by a local body shop and it was $1400. Which I though wasn't bad since Id looked at just materials to do the job. And they were around $400 for good paint and clear. The quote included removing all panels and hood and painting it off the car.
They also told me that you have to clear the entire body panel if you want GM to keep your paint warranty valid. I'd don't know how much truth there is in that but it sounds logical. |

I had mine painted on by our local bs. They charged me just a little over $600. Stripes down the hood and over the nose, down the trunk and over the spoiler, all clear coated. Really a nice job.

 Stripes and rear blackout painted at Dan's Autobody Shop, Hershey PA for 540. Excellent work, car could not look better.

my dealer painted mine for 125 more then the cost of the decal stripes and they look fantastic and i got the cyber grey metallic

I got mine done for a little under $1300 and they did black with a little metallic fleck mixed in to match the metallic in the IOM paint. I had 3 price quotes for mine $1300 $1600 and $2500.
