Maybe some, but its not nearly as popular of an exhaust mod for the SS. The V6 has an a trait to get raspy and cause drone when you open the exhaust up, so this cuts out most if not basically all the rasp and helps with drone some too.

V8s usually don't have to worry about the rasp. Installing one of these on a V8 might end up with a smoother exhaust than you'd hope for, but then again installing one with straight pipes out the end might not sound bad at all.

Now that I think about it, I believe Magnaflow's "competition" exhaust for the SS is basically a resonated muffler and then straight pipe.

I put one on after installing long tube headers, it got rid of rasp and drone and it quieted things down some. Love it now.

Exhaust preference is so subjective, but I really like that combo.

Yes- for the SS this is a great option and a very good time to replace the rear exhaust diffuser with a GM 2012 diffuser for the NPP (about $85 at your Chevy dealer) and add quad tips.

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...&highlight=npp Super easy with lots of quad tip choices for the SS. Improve your sound and update the look in one step.
