What kinda crack have you been smoking? Like, I don't even know how to address all the stupid in your post lol. The Camaros are light years ahead of the challenger. GM did not "drop the ball" at all. Please take a long hard look in the mirror, bang your head against it a few times, then come back.

The SRT8 with the 6.4 ran a 3:09.4 at VIR. The ZL1 went 2:52.38. Until you realize how much faster a 17 second difference is on a track that short, please stop posting. It's embarrassing that you just compared the ZL1 and SRT. You should be ashamed. Your ancestors are not proud lol

I'm talking drag times of course you would bring up track times. Since its only good at that. 580hp and most people are running mid 12s Its sad when the cts-v runs better times. Hell a intake and tune 5.0 can beat a Zl1 such a let down from GM. The camaro has been a joke it weights to much to compete. You know that the car isn't performing like it should.

Oh I forgot, most people are too stupid to look at anything but drag times. Carry on then.

Lol it's funny that you say the camaro weighs too much to compete, when the SRT8 is 300 pounds heavier. Contradictory much?
As far as performing like it should, well a street legal camaro (on this forum actually) has ran faster than any street 5.0 or SRT. But damn I guess they're too heavy to compete:( lol go home

I have yet to see a stock ls3 camaro run low 12s. Like the 5.0 or 392. The 392 does weigh more but does run better times stock. And just because you say street legal i promise you he has done weight reduction. So you can throw the weight factor out the window.

Fastest SS is 12.5.
The 392 runs low 12's because it has 45 extra hp, and more weight in the back aka better traction.

To my understanding it's a full weight street car. So weight isn't exactly out the window. My car weighs quite a bit more than stock, and there aren't many 5.0's that'll even get close enough to see my plate

Gys, neither one are bad cars, they have a lot more in common than not if we are serious. Both based on sedan platforms, bth fully independant suspensions of similar achitexture, both available big honking red blooded pushrod V8s. i will say for now the Camaro has a nice large advantage in handling, for the straight line the SRT8 (especially the 28k core model) is the best bang for the buck, 1LE for the twisties (sorry ZL1, you may be slightly quicker, but your little brother shats all over you in bang for the buck), Challenger is the better cruiser and can hold 5 adults. the Chevy team has done a much better job of suspension tuning so far, though the Challenger guys haven't really tried........ yet. the 15 Challenger should close the gap here. it should be lighter, larger brakes, get the 8 speed auto, and nice SCed V8 option.

I agree! They're both good cars, I would drive a challenger. They're definitely a better cruiser.

If i could have 2 ponies it would be a 2013 1LE (not sure i like the 14 redesign yet), and a 2015 Challenger SRT with the 8 speed auto and NA 6.4. Yeah i know, i have a thing for middle models lol.
