Lingenfelter Pulleys
Getting some supercharger upgrades from Lingenfelter Performance this winter early spring. Does any have LPE pulleys? The top pulley is offered in a 2.55 and a 2.35? I've been talking to Ryan at LPE. He said to avoid belt slip to get the 2.55, does anyone have the 2.35 and have any problems with it?
Or just rocking the 2.55 and adding a few more lbs of boost when tuning? Thanks Brandon

"The Baron" will chime in on this one. He says to get the 2.35 and be done with the pulley situation. He has it on both of his LSA cars and says slippage has never been an issue. He owns a CTSv and a ZL1.

Or do a lower pulley. Parts are more expensive but the labor and effort put in to it is much easier. And no belt slip, grip is actually better.

The parts are more but the labor is Less and makes swapping pulleys a breeze. Ted.

most belt slip occurs at the crank actually so if you are concerned do an overdriven lower. We did a 2.55 upper and 10% ati lower and had absolutely zero belt slip. if you want to really go in depth with all the different setups we have done please feel free to call, pm, or email us.

Cars with belt slip ie cobras which we have done a bunch of from a small upper going to an over driven lower than showing no signs of belt slip.... I agree I didn't think it would be that way either but have witnessed it multiple times with many different setups.

you also typically get a max of 180 degree's of belt at the crank pulley instead of at the supercharger pulley which see's a greater degree of wrap. no point in arguing as we are both agreeing doing an overdriven lower is the better move.

In general, is there any reason to pay the premium for the Hennessy parts over the Lingenfelter ?

Iv got 2.35 on 2 cars.. there is no belt slip issues. The 2.55 is a waste and is sold to get you to buy the lower and spend money. Period..
a 2.35 will make 15 pounds of boost.. I always lol when I hear about belt slip on these 1.9.s.. it is basically complete bullshit.
