Wire harness would have to be modified and the ECM operating system may or may not need flashed.

The biggest problem with that would be the piston to valve clearance as the cam advances/retards in the LS3. Most of your moderate to big cams sold on this bored have little piston to valve clearance in the first place. Advancing the cam would get dangerously close on the Intake valve and retarding would get dangerously close on exhaust if not crash altogether.
