Front Camera

Anyone here running front and rear cameras? I have a rear camera currently that shows on my Kenwood DDX9903S. I’m installing an APR splitter this spring and I’m thinking of running a front camera, just wondered where I can have it show: Head Unit, rearview mirror, some other spot?

If someone has both front/rear cameras, which front camera do you have, and do you like it, would you recommend one?

Thanks for any input!

Bobby K.

I guess I should read the manual before posting dumb questions, lol!!! Seems like it’s becomes almost too easy to keep this phone in my hands, rather than going old school and actually reading! Thanks for the reality check, man!

I use the interface posted on here somewhere bought from Korea. It was a little expensive but it has been working perfectly for almost 2 years. The only thing is I needed to make sure the dash cam had a video out. (most don't)

I am running a blacksys ch-100b 2 channel. Front and rear camera. I love it. Bought it through BlackBoxMyCar with a coupon code for like $275.

I have a PAC-audio RPK5-GM4101 & Kenwood DNX893S headunit, boyo vtl375hd backup cam, and a car rover ca022mf front cam to avoid hitting anything up front.

I have a ddx9903 as well as it does indeed have inputs for two cameras. My front camera is installed in the grill.

Mine has calibrated distance lines on it the same as the back.
I had curb alert, I thought it sucked that is why I went with a front camera.

Curb alert I just got annoyed with the false readings, speed bumps, potholes etc. Its much nicer to be able to see the curbs and walls.

I don't remember the model of the camera but I got it from NewEgg. Its the only one I could find with a video out (yellow rca jack)
Actually that is wrong. That one is the dash cam

The front cam came from Amazon and it was pretty cheap. Pyle PLCM38FRV. I got two in case it ever goes bad. Its small enough to hide in the lower grill. Distance lines can be switched off or on. Picture has been great for 2 years now
