Trans Conversion

I have a 72 Camaro with a 350 and 350 turbo automatic. I want to replace the trans with a manual 4 or 5 spd. Does anyone have a link or info on a package deal? Kits such as: trans, shifter, full clutch, driveshaft etc. Thanks for any help.

Leaning heavy towards the Tremec TKO 600. I have a quote from Hurst Drivelines and JAM Performance so far.

Hurst drive line is the easiest from what I saw
My friend put a tko into his 70 but then again he already had the manual. You'll need the z-bar braketry but for that price might as well just go hydraulic

Also forgot about American power train. They are pretty easy to deal with too

We put the TKO-600 in my 68 and it was cheaper to get the parts individually. We also got better parts doing it this way. I was able to upgrade to the Centerforce clutch package, etc. The packages are not bad, but don't always have the better quality on some parts. Good luck. You'll definitely be happy with the swap.

He's not local for you, but he's from NJ. Give my friend/mechanic a call and he can help you out with the details. He just put a 4 speed manual in a 70 Camaro that was an automatic. Tell him Nelson told you to call.

We use the TKO-600 in the early vettes and other muscle car LS swaps....nice options as far as shifter location, etc.
