Here's his 2011 Stage 2 WRX

He had this 5.0 mustang to the 1/8 mile then missed a gear

I saw you guys about to run so went ahead and recorded for you. This was your 14.9 runs!

Tonight ny friend's 2011 Cobb Stage 2 WRX did 14.4 @ 94 as best ET and 14.6 @ 96 for best trap(he can't drive, he doesn't launch it hard, 2.0 60 foot, and doesn't NLS). My other friend's Fox Body cammed 5.0 with C4 3-speed auto did 14.09 @ 97.
Pretty good, would like to get those ET's. Was fun last night, a lot of friendly people out there. Just be glad when there aren't as many trailers there, was no parking at the end.

I would like to get a 2.0 60 one time, need to figure out how. I tried to do a burnout on the first run but I don't know if my tires even spun, I think I was holding the brake too hard because I didn't want to see the wall up close. I've done a good 2 tire burnout before with smoke and all, but that was somewhere else.

Thanks, didn't realize our cars were that loud when we were going down the track.

Yeah you trap a good 3-4 mph more then a stock auto v6... If you had his 60 foot you would be 14.5-14.8. 1 mph of trap is roughly 10 hp, so 30-40 or so whp more then stock.

On the right, granted these were different conditions. You did 14.5 or 14.6 on this opening sunday few weeks back I think

Removing the drivers from this scenario for a moment, how bad is that track and the DA where its at?

You say those are awesome numbers, but for the rest of the country I would think those numbers are terrible.

I mean I've run in 2200 DA and run 13's with less mods than the mustang above. Is it like 5000 DA there?

**EDIT**

I ran the numbers in the Dragtimes.com DA calculator and it gave only a 700 DA. Is that right?

Yeah that's right.

The DA was 600 and I ran 14.0 @ 101.6 with 2.4 60 foot in my Accord, I ran 14.2 @ 98.8 in DA of 2000 with same mods. But normally the DA is 2000+ and the prepping isn't the best, it's slick as snot there. Much much more slick then the road that leads to the raceway, ironically.

The air just sucks here and the track actually goes uphill! lol

Have you noticed if guys with slicks or at least drag radials have success there?

Sounds a bit dangerous actually.

Guys with radials and slicks do awesome. Yeah it is... There was a Mach 1 that got sideways and crashed last weekend.

My best time at the track was actually on June 29th, 2012. I ran a 14.535 @ 96.95 mph in 4158 DA, so the corrected time was 13.793 @ 102.216 mph. That was with a stock throttle body and a K&N Aircharger intake. The best time after my current mods was on November 9th, 2012. Ran a 14.501 @ 97.39 mph in 2425 DA, which corrected is 14.087 @ 100.317. I may take off my Plenum Spacer, that might be hurting more then helping.

For my wife, how bad is traction control on the Mustang? On the Camaro I can spin both my tires even with it on and can feel the car getting sideways if I get too aggressive on the launch. My wife says she can floor it from the dig and the car will not move around at all. I'm going to try to take her out somewhere to turn off traction control to let her feel how the car moves around and how to correct it if its bad. Her car has a lot of potential, she just needs confidence in launching the car without it hitting the wall.

Right now I think the track is still a little slick but will get better as more cars go. They need to tell people to turn off their AC's though. Don't know when we will be out there again, new house is taking some of our play time away.

On my car, the IM plenum spacer gained 6-10 lb-ft across the curve but lost 5 whp on the top end, the powerband plateaued earlier. So it may help to take it off.

This thread made me make an account for this site

This thread is just sad to me as a camaro owner,
you are like full bolt-on Camaro V6
and all your wife got is Intake and is able to keep up or even win...
I guess when she gets additional bolts on, you would be the one struggling to keep up.

You need to read through the thread. We installed a tune, BBK headers, Borla exhaust, and rear LCA's on her car. The only advantage I have is the 3.27 gear ratio to her 2.73, but she has the weight advantage.

EDIT: I updated the first post to show what upgrades we have now and when the times start with her headers. The headers reduced her ET's by 0.5 seconds, huge upgrade over the stock manifolds.

Swarm, you also have to keep in mind where these cars are running. In a different location with better DA, they'd be running low 14s or 13s for sure. Just a thought.
