Should I replace my rotors?
Hi Folks, so I've got that squealing noise from my brake pads, so I think it's time to change them out. I'm planning on sticking with OEM Brembo pads for now, but I was wondering if I need to replace the rotors as well? I'm on my second set of rotors, the first set I replaced about 25,000 miles ago, they lasted about 40,000 miles. I had a dealership do that because I wasn't doing my own work at the time. Is there a way to measure the rotors to tell if they need replacing or is it just best practice to do the pads and rotors together?
I attached a picture of the drivers side front and rear rotors so you can see them. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Measure the thickness with a dial caliper - cheap at harbor freight - and then compare to the minimum (in mm).
If close, replace otherwise, throw on new set of pads and bed them in! -Don

To reuse them they should be resurfaced. When you bring them in to the auto parts store to have that done they will tell you if they are still thick enough.

If I am reading your post correctly, you already replaced the rotors once? This is the second set of rotors, and you only have 40k? Then yes I would say you are good. Have them re-surfaced, but replacing should not be necessary as long as they are still flat and there is not any vibration.
