His car has an after market alarm and GPS tracker on it so he was able to assist police in tracking it down. they are in the process of recovering it now.

just had to share the craziness that happened here today.

Do you remember the movie "Gone in Sixty Seconds"!!!! By the time they try to track the car it is probably in a shipping container. Loaded on a ship headed for Europe or Asia!!

I've got to keep my wife from throwing it out if it hasn't been used in a month. She's got this whole minimalist thing going.

The Navy provides me with a car port right now. My wife's Sonic is in there. The Firebird's out in the cold.

That's got to go. You could be next with your car missing.

You assume their garages are filled with garbage.

We don't park either of our in the garage.

Probably should.

I park the Camaro in the garage and the Equinox in the driveway. There's not quite enough room for two cars.

Except change Equinox to Silverado. Actually before I even had the Camaro, the Silverado just didn't really fit.

Well he had a 2005 Subaru WRX. Once the cops tracked it down, got the warrant and gained access to the storage unit it was placed in it was already too late.

Video footage at the storage facility shows that they were "alone" with his car for two hours.... the car and several others was completely gutted of everything of value aside from the engine in his car since it took over an hour to reach the storage facility the engine was too hot.

Sad thing is that he just got it back from the shop after getting a new engine installed!

I live in SoCal and never, ever parked a car in the garage. That is until I owned my Camaro! It is such an incredible vehicle, that I have not been able to transition to making it my daily driver. Everybody asks, "Why don't you drive your Camaro?" At which I respond, "It is too good for this world."

It is now one year old with 1,000 miles on it and I love it.

I will never leave any car I own outside as long as I have a garage. It is a requirement.

Sucks for your neighbor... I hope it works out ok!
