Strange issues with window on a 2010.

So I know and went through the process of "relearning" the window position thing with unlatching the door wire harness, and even doing the fuse, but I don't think that's the issue. Tomorrow I'm going to tear down my driver's side door to hopefully figure it out but whenever I slightly open it, to before the first "lock" position it operates normally. If I hit that lock position without going to the next it goes slightly down but won't return to the normal position when I close the door. But if I open it all the way when I close the door the window drops about an inch and doesn't return to original position. The window on the driver's side rolls up and down the same speed as the passager side. But I did notice that the thing that determines the lock spots is much more worn down on the d side over the p side. Does anyone have any insight on what might be wrong? Will I need to replace that one part and if so what's it called?

I tried to look in the parts list in the sticky but couldn't find door stuff.
