I took my mylink out to get it painted. But I can't seem to put the lcd screen into its place. I got the radio portion taken care of. The mylink works (screen comes on, etc). Anyone help me out with this one?

Make sure that the black alignment guide pins on both sides of the Mylink line up with the faceplate. If the pins are not straight you will have a difficult time getting the faceplate to line up straight.

Smile MyLink working

Finally got mine installed. First try, no errors and everything is working as it should.
Love that thing.
Thanks Ofer for the great kit and instructions.

Ok, so I don't have a Bluetooth antenna connection on my onstar module, bit I do have Bluetooth. Any issues with voice commands, and where would my BT be connected?

So, I guess the pin on the green wire wasn't completely crimped on. Now the pin is in my connector. Any suggestions to get it out?

had the same thing happen to me. I used a small jewelers flat tip screwdriver to push it out from the back side.

Does anyone know how to remove the secondary lock on the onstar X2 connector? A pic would be so awesome

I used a real small flathead driver. Basically a jewelers driver.

There should be pics in the instructions, but essentially you do need either a small pick or precision screwdriver, and on the top side, there are two small holes next to the secondary lock, you have to push in there and pry up at the lock. once it's up a bit, you should be able to pull it up with your fingers, if that is easier for you.

I'm surprised that no one has identified this yet, when confronted with the X2 connector, I stuck my jewelers screw driver into the open pin holes and pushed the lock open from the inside of the connector. Worked great. Give it a shot.

Wish I had seen this when I did my installation. Opening that connector gave me fits. I probably spent 1/2 of my time in that one area of the installation.
