Doug Thorley Shorties Installed

Just got my Thorley Shorties installed today. I love em'. Long tubes were out of the question (Thanks Cali) but I'm still happy with these.

I bought them from a fellow Camaro5 member, ZZ Camaro. I PM'd him and let him know you were wanting to know about the cost. I don't want to post it on here because I don't know if it's frowned upon or not.

Yes I did. I asked whether I should or not and my installer as well as another member suggested that it would be fine to reuse the existing.

The stock gaskets are great to be reused on any of our cars. I woudl say to reuse them on any camaro that has under 15k miles or so....maybe even higher. They are a great gasket, and it costs about 100 to buy a new pair of similar ones!! They are much better than those which some companies are supplying as replacements.

My installer did it in 3 hours. He said the driver's side was more of a hassle than the other due to less room. Mine was the first 5th GEN he had installed headers on and he said it wasn't bad. He did say that by looking at it from up top he thought the passenger side might be the easiest but after he got under he realized he was wrong. LOL!!

Are the cat flange gaskets the same type of design as the exhaust manifold gasket, and are they reusable too?

The package doesn't come with gaskets and my installer made the comment that he used all existing gaskets due to them being in good shape and needless to replace since I still had less than 15,000. I had 7,200 exactly yesterday after 4 months.
