New car issues.

So I picked up my new car yesterday and the first thing i noticed is that when I have my foot on the gas, I hear a light clicking noise. But as soon as I let off the gas it goes away.

Also more worrying is that after driving around town for a while, 35mph and under, I smell something that smells hot and burning coming from the front end. Cant tell if its oil or tranny fluid. As soon as I am at highway speeds I can no longer smell it though.

Lastly a minor issue the passenger side washer fluid sprayer sprays the fluid so it hits the wiper and assembly and doesn't reach the windshield. Can you adjust them?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Woah. Way too many things wrong. Make a list of everything thats wrong. Bring a tech along for the ride. Do not let them go alone. If possible ask for two techs. One in passenger, the other in the back seat. Show them the sprayer issue. Give them the car back after they verify the problems. Do not let them dismiss you. If they do, immediately escalate to gm directly and get it resolved. I wish i did what i just advised you to do. Then I wouldnt be having a hard time to prove it wasnt my fault the problems happened.

If the car was brand new, give it some time for the smell problem. Mine had 1000 miles on it before the burning smell went away.

Sounds like an exhaust leak. Agree with above though...If the car is BRAND new the smell will go away, but the exhaust leak should be fixed.

Agree. I got mine with 200 miles and I had the same smell. Now at 1400 I don't smell it anymore

The smell will go away after awhile. It's those paper/plastic tags and stuff they put on the parts during the assembly process. It them burning away as these tags are pretty close to anything hot in the engine bay area.

Now I'm just getting paranoid. I swear I hear a pop or rattle from the rear end every once in a while.

Dude calm down and enjoy your ride. It sounds like you may be coming from a Clunker that gave you all kinds of problems. I know that's how I was when I started driving this car. Every little sound I was get paranoid. I even made a thread about a swoosh noise in the back (turned out to be gas in the tank). Drive your car like you stole it~

Is the AC always supposed to turn on?
Last night I turned the heat on full blast, temperature all the way right, fan at max. Looked down a minute later and the AC button was lit up.

Maybe you just didn't notice it on at first. But it will be on unless you turn it on manually. It should not come on by its self unless you have it on the defrost setting.

All new cars have that smell and it usually goes away in 100 to 1500 miles. It's the paint and anti corrosion coatings they put on the parts after they are made and before they are assembled on the engine burning off those parts.

Thanks. So it sounds like the only issue I have yet to get any possible explanations of is the clicking noise that gets louder when I have my foot on the gas. In my 2010 I had a similar clicking noise, but it was the fan in the climate control that many people here have had issues with. And it went away when the fan was off. This noise is constant.

Either way Tuesday of next week I am taking it in to have the dealership look at stuff.

Im enjoying the car, but not the quirks. I find that when I have the steering wheel completely straight the car goes left, so I have to drive whith the wheel slightly turned to the right. Can this be fixed?
