You have to remove the interior door panels and then remove the cloth panels from the door panel. Thye are attached with plastic heads and you have to cut the heads with a dremel. Replacing the painted panels you have to use 3/8" screws and washers. The dash trims are held with clips and pop off.

The panel that holds the cloth is a very thin plastic if held to the light (when the glue is off) you can practically see through it. It is very sensitive when I scraped off the glue on it. It actually damaged in with deep scratch marks! I learned the hard way using a flat razor knife that you would use for this process. Tip: use mineral spirits or a light amount of paint stripper with a cloth to dissolve the glue and never use a tool. I could not believe how sensitive it was. I had to use bondo to smooth out the scratches the razor knife made. Lots of sanding, wet sanding and primer took care of it. 4/5 rounds of it! Y

A cheap tip using the yellow paint: I ordered the Ralley Yellow paint from duplicolor(20 bucks a can) but of course I ran out. I went to Wal Mart of all places and found an EXACT match! It was Krylon Sun Yellow however it is gloss. I used a satin clear glaze to tone it down. It costs 3 bucks a can!

NO, the Rev limiter is not set to 118MPH... and YES, driving in this manner does affect MPG...

You can order this kit through various GM parts vendors but they have been out of stock for two months. They cost anywhere from 360 to 450 depending on where you can back order them so I thought I would do my own. The long dash trim is not shown because of the endless times I have redone them and are still in progress. The panels were redone totally three to four times! The panels were installed today. A very trying project to say the least but it has kept me busy the last couple of weeks. If I am lucky I may have the dash trim done tomorrow if it turns out alright. I will show pics of the final product when it is done.
Great job! People tend to forget when watching paint done on Muscle Car the amount of "Ooops.. sand, and repeat" that actually takes place to get the finished product.

I designed the mediallion and then shipped the model off to china and had them custom machine it for me. Unfortunatly this is a one of a kind item, I would love to make some more but don't have a license to sell GM related items.

As for the clear coat I took it to my paint guy who did my stripes. So there are 2 coats of SIM and 3 coats of clear. However it doesn't matter what type of clear you use, make sure you put 2-5 coats on and then use a hand glaze and polish it to get that extra shine.

Cool, Heres my IOM engine cover. For those that are interested this is the factory GM painted cover. I had them throw it in when I finalized the deal on my NEW ride.

Its reflection. Flash was on and reflected off the chevrolet emblem. I would die if it was overspray. LOL
