too many complaints about the v6 cam. come on now. you got the sexiest v6 on the market. i got mine in 2009 when they first came out and nobody cared about the engine, everyone just flipped out over the fact that it was a great looking car.

at 300+ HP it pulls its own weight, especially once you get moving on the highway. add some additions like an exhaust system or an intake or whathaveyou, and it's all good. i've always been real impressed with its ability to go from 30-90 so quickly and that was before i added exhaust + air.

what i'm saying is love your car because it easily dumps on any of the ugly-as-sin V6's mentioned in this thread (hyundai? really? REALLY?). and don't sweat the 0-60 times. this ain't fast and furious; we aren't living our lives a quarter mile at a time.

Nope...that guy (member name lilchef or something very similar) has an auto mustang V6 with the optional 3.31s and ran mid 14s....I believe a 14.6

Now, as I said at the time, I think his car is probably capable of better runs, but he has a ways to go to get into the 13s.

I,ve been racing for over 45yrs..I have gone between 8 & 13sec,s in various V-8 racing cars & trucks over the years, all @ local race tracks.Back in the 60,s, to buy a new factory V-8 small block w/ 318-350hp was outstanding.Today to be able to by a V-6 w/312hp is simply awesome, especially one that handles & rides so niiiice & looks so timeless.Stop worrying about (Can the V-6 beat anything?) enjoy your car,it was built for the highway. When you go to the track you can spend the whole day there & only race it about 4-5 times,at 14sec,s ea.that,s 56-70sec,s,(a whole minute),but when you spend the whole day driving the highway or around town in your V-6 Camaro(That cant beat anything),I guarantee when you pull up in your driveway you will feel like you just won a Wally @ the US Nationals. ENJOY A GREAT CAR!. TO--The G-Man.

I tell ya, I just ran my 2LT through the paces going through the gears. After 3K, this mini-beast halls ass! This car is faster than 9 out of 10 V6-ers on the road at any given time.

This is coming from someone who also owns a V8 4-speed 1st gen, so I know what muscle is.

You don't really street race anyway, so enjoy the car. It's been said many times and multiple times in this thread: someone's always faster!

I did not buy my 2011 2LT RJT 6A 19" polished, to race.
I bought it for its looks!!
I never had the desire to own a "Muscle Car"... But when I saw the Camaro concept car... Whoa!!!
I said if they ever built that... but hey the production car never looks like the Concept...
So when the 2010 came out and looking 95% of the concept... I was smitten!!
So factory ordered, and 6 weeks late I was a Happy Man!!!

i love my car

Although the v8 would be nice I love my fuel economy and the fact that replacement OEM tires from tirerack run about 350$. It's faster than the piece of junk civic I had, I *love* my car.

I bet you are ecstatic you are in the second spot, or just the first loser spot.

I'll go even farther and say the 2011 v6 Mustang is quicker, but it's probably going to come down to driver in most cases.
The first performance pack v6 I have even seen a picture of on a dealer lot was about 2 weeks ago.

And it was on a big mustang board looking for the performance pack v6s to hit the lots.

I would beat all of you ,but don't feel bad because I'm sure there are guys that can beat me. See how this game works.

Besides the Challenger comes first in the looks department which in this day and age counts more than speed.

I agree with the Challenger looking the best. Disagree on the statement on speed though.

Some of us are still performance enthusiasts.

I understand that ,but my point was that the fastest car isn't always the best car. If I would have known all the problems I was going to have owning a camaro, I would have gotten a challenger. I do agree in the fact that the performance pushed me to the camaro. I know now it's now really not as important as other factors for me.
