I would think it's the OBD port. Should be under dash on drivers side.

It's a programmer you can buy to tune the cars computer for more performance and to adjust different parameters. Shift points, rev limiter, speed limiter, etc.

You can turn off the Active Fuel Management with that tuner, what a huge difference in the car. I love my A6 even more now.

It stops the car from running on 4 cyl when cruising pretty much a must with an aftermarket exhaust

with the diablo predator - or even their new Trinity that is available for the new camaro's now too, you will gain 15-20 hp and 20 ft-lbs torque....

you'll get better throttle response, better acceleration, and as was mentioned, you can disable the AFM so that you're always in V8 mode...

things you can adjust with it include:

#
COT time delay
#
DoD disable
#
Idle RPM Drive/Neutral
#
Injector Slope adjustment
#
WOT Fuel 2k-3.8k / 4k-4.9k / 5k-7k
#
Rev Limit
#
WOT Spark (in degrees) 1k-3.8k / 4k-5k / 5.2k-7k
#
Fan adjustment, individual adjustment per temp dependent cell
#
Tire Size
#
Speed limit(truck/SUV only)
#
Read/Write time is approx 60 seconds
#
Clear codes supported
#
Live data and log supported
#
Holds up to 5 custom tunes & Dat viewer is supported.

and you can get custom tunes created for you/your car via email from Diablosport CMR dealers/tuners (like me)....

I recently got mine and disabled the DoD or AFM as we know it. Can't wait to begin the loggin process. Car runs amazing- laid a 20' of rubber down my drive way with traction controlled active. Now all I need is my CIA.

so with all the change ability would someone who isn't a tuner, but mechanically inclined,be able to use it and not screw up the engine? Is there say pre existing tunes I could put in so I wasn't just putting in a setting that would throw me way off? How much more is the custom setting as opposed to getting the tuner and doing it myself

yes, it comes with preloaded tunes that you can just install and go!

it has a "Diablo Tune" - which is made for 93 octane fuel, and it has a "91 Octane Tune" as well...

as for a custom tune, it all depends on if you do it via email, or if you go to a dyno shop... and everyone charges something a little different than the next guy...

if you get a predator or trinity and are interested in a custom tune to get even more giddy-up out of your car, you can PM me for info about my tunes...
